Swirly calligraphy designs for your poem
Since introducing this calligraphy design in 2008 we've recreated it in many colours and for many different poems. The illuminated letter is in gold or silver on a background colour of your choice.
The main calligraphy can be written in Italics, Antique, Gothic, Cinderella or Curly calligraphy. The swirls are made with a calligraphy pen and can be drawn in any colour - usually the same colour as the background for your illuminated letter. We can incorporate painted flowers (roses, daisies, etc.) and even tiny swarovski crystals into the border design for you.
Available in whichever colours you like best!
This variation on the swirly border design, in gold and shades of blue, was a gift for a client's husband. It has no flowers so it suited his favourite poem really well. This is a strong colour combination and would work well with emerald green and silver, or rich purple and silver.
